What is First and Green?

Located in a beautiful old building on Grenada’s historic Courthouse Square, First & Green is an event venue. Our staff endeavors to express excellence in the most inclusive, accessible, genuine, and hospitable way possible.

We have a lofty goal: to delight every guest on every visit by offering a variety of memorable and fun experiences characterized by great food, gorgeous venue, accomplished artists, and exceptional hospitality.

Do you provide catering services?

Yes, we do. We can handle the simplest picnic or barbecue; a reception for 200, or a multi course elegant dinner for a small group.

Challenge us! Most of our work is done on site in our fabulous kitchen, but we do handle off site events.

How can I book?

Call 662 699 0498 or email celebrate@FirstandGreenGrenada.com to determine availability and pricing for your event.

A $250 refundable deposit is required to hold the space.

Are there hotels nearby?

Since Grenada marks the halfway point on I55 between Memphis and Jackson, we boast over 800 hotel rooms, with something for everyone, all located within 2-3 miles of First & Green.

How do we work together?

You describe for us what you want and what your budget is, by phone,in person or by completing our Event Planning Questionnaire.

We develop a proposal for your review. Once agreed, you sign a contract, and we execute.

Payment schedules are included in the contract.

What about chairs and tables and linens and china and all that other stuff?

We have tables in various sizes and shapes, linens and china and serve ware and flatware, all available for rent.

We can provide it for you on an a la carte basis, or bundle the pricing with the catering charges.

How can I pay First & Green?

Checks are our preferred form of payment, although we accept major credit cards and cash.

We are delighted to arrange payment schedules to reflect your schedule, but all charges must be paid in full prior to the event.

If miscellaneous charges are incurred during the event, we will present an invoice at the event or soon after.

May I bring my own liquor?

First & Green has a full liquor license, so we cannot allow others to bring liquor in. Nor can we allow liquor to be removed from our premises.

The good news: we can offer you exactly what you want.

When can I get access to the space to decorate?

Officially, access starts at

  • 7 am for Saturday events
  • two hours in advance for other events

If the space has not been booked for other events, however, we can certainly allow access the day before.

By when do we need to vacate?

For evening events, 10:00 am the following day unless other arrangement have been made.

For day time events, by 4:00 pm unless otherwise agreed.

How big is your stage?

Our stage is portable and can be used in sections.

We have 6 sections, each 4′ x 8′.

What is there for our out of town guests to do in Grenada?

Grenada is rich in arts and music, and offers a number of natural wonders as well.

We are happy to arrange excursions, or visit on your own. See the local tourism commission site for more information.
