First & Green Celebrations, on the Square in Grenada’s Downtown Historic District, is delighted to announce the opening of its newest space, Miss Emma’s Dining Room, right next door at 85 First Street on October 1st, 2017. Miss Emma’s joins First & Green’s Main Hall & Loft and The Courtyard to complement their available space for celebrations, meetings, and other events.
Deborah Bailey, owner and operator of the catering hall, observed that “Since First & Green Celebrations opened in early 2015, we have been thrilled to have helped with 117 events, a great mix of wedding and family reunion related as well as private parties, corporate meetings and First & Green hosted events. We have received a good deal of demand for space for smaller events such as bridal or baby showers, smaller dinners, birthday parties and meetings. We hope Miss Emma’s will be popular for those occasions.”
Miss Emma’s Dining Room is located in the ground floor of what was most recently Whitaker Furniture. Mrs. Bailey’s company, Prevail Investments LLC, purchased the building when Whitaker’s closed and the owners retired. The new space adds approximately 2000 square feet to First & Green’s existing 5000 square feet of event space, and will be served by the same kitchen. Miss Emma’s adds even more versatility to the attractive event and catering complex.
A new roof, new flooring, and fresh paint have been added, along with expanded changing and rest room space for guests. “Miss Emma’s, named for Coley Bailey’s mother, has a lot to live up to. Miss Emma was the picture of gentility, a Southern lady to her lovely toes. We hope that our clients and their guests love the new space as we do, and that Miss Emma is watching with pride and a smile.” says Deborah.
The First & Green in house catering team led by Deborah Bailey will provide the same high quality food and customized menus clients and guests expect at First & Green, and we can provide the same bar services. We also hope that small people will enjoy using Miss Emma’s for birthday parties, and for them we off non alcoholic punch and are exploring some exciting new game technology.
Miss Emma’s is now taking reservations. If you are interested in reserving the space please contact us.
