FIRST & GREEN – THE SPACE
First & Green Celebrations offers 5,000 square feet of event space, in two stories connected by a new open staircase with two large landings that lend themselves to opportunities for great photographs commemorating your event.
The Main Hall
The Main Space includes 4000 square feet of celebration space and a brand new chef’s kitchen with small bar from which the curious can keep an eye on the litchen. The original fourteen-foot high bead board ceilings have been restored and the old ladders on rails, hidden behind the modern dropped ceiling for years, have been polished and retained along with the original heart pine floors.
And for all those who remember the fun of it (or perhaps the back breaking labor) the original Grenada Hardware hand cranked WR Massey elevator is once again functioning, in its original spot.

The Loft Space upstairs provides a more intimate space, perfect as a lounge for performers or a dressing area for bridal parties.
Miss Emma’s Dining Room
Our most recent addition, occupies what was the home for close to 70 years of Whitaker Furniture. The 2000 square foot space can seat 80, and offers a more intimate alternative to our beloved Main Hall. Whether you are holding a corporate meeting, a baby or bridal shower, a birthday, family reunion or other party, Miss Emma’s, named for Coley Bailey’s mother, adds to the choices available at First & Green.
Once home to the venerable Grenada County Weekly, the open air Courtyard, across Green Street from the Main Hall, offers a gorgeous facade and nicely proportioned outdoor space enclosed on three sides.
With or without a tent, this outdoor space provides added flexibility. it is a lovely place for an intimate wedding ceremony.
And of course, First & Green is located on Grenada’s historic Courthouse Square, where the flowers are lovely maintained by the Grenada Garden Club and the community.
The central Gazebo, considered by many as the symbol of Grenada, is a fabulous location for the celebration of marriage, echoing Grenada’s own formation – the result of the July 4, 1836, wedding of Tullahoma and Pittsburg – two former rival towns – and their unification as a new community called Grenada.
Ample on street parking is available, and public parking is right across the street.
Additional room can be created by extending your party through new double doors opening onto Green Street. Portable serving stations can serve both food and drink, and a new LED lighting
